Covington Shores is the most popular luxury neighborhood in Granger, based on number of sales each year and was featured on the South Bend Area Blog in May of 2007. The Adams Road Development Corporation broke ground on the subdivision in 1999 and created a pleasant neighborhood with curved streets and more than 300 large homes, many of which back to one of six ponds. Vacant lots remain available for those who want to build. Residents are especially appreciative of Covington’s peaceful setting and sense of community, as members of the HOA report:

Because our developer required each home install at least four large trees we think Covington Shores looked liked an established neighborhood from the beginning. We have several ponds / lakes varying in size. Some crescent shaped … some with islands. We personally love our backyard, which is a 12-14 acre lake stocked for fishing and with treated water safe to swim in.
Covington Shores is a quiet, friendly subdivision where we feel neighbors go out of their way to welcome newcomers. We have a great communication system, which keeps everyone informed of what is going on which makes everyone feel part of our community. If we find a lost dog/cat we take it into our homes and make sure it gets home safely. There are neighborhood bunco clubs, euchre clubs, scrap booking clubs, book clubs, play groups, block parties and parades for the kids. We have a coordinator for those who are ill or new mothers to provide food to help them in recovery.
We have a neighborhood web-site where there is a neighborhood directory, covenants, list of babysitters, dog walkers, etc. At our web-site you can post messages, send alerts of problems in the neighborhood, coordinate garage sales, snow plowing, etc.
Covington Shores also has the best Halloween parades with the fire dept and county police participating. Everyone sits at the end of their drives as they parade through, receiving their candies.
We know of five families that have bought a second home here in Covington. That speaks for itself.
